Master of Arts (MA) in Management & Marketing

Mode: Full-time, 5 years.

Course fee: 2 500USD per annum [total course fee: 12 500USD].

Additional fees: registration (150USD), diploma fee (300USD), study materials (up to 250USD p.a.), living expenses, visa (up to 250USD p.a.), etc.

Operator: Faculty of Management & Entrepreneurship.

Target audience: High school leavers, holders of non-business degrees looking for in-depth knowledge about the business environment and gain a post-graduate diploma.

End result: Polish "Magister in Management & Marketing" (a Polish MA-type degree) and an American "Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with Specialisation in International Business" from National-Louis University (Chicago, Illinios, USA).

Entry requirements: Necessary skills: computers, wordprocessors, spreadsheets. English skills: TOEFL paper-test score of 550; TOEFL computer-test score of 213; 6 on the IELTS scale; Cambridge FCE grade "A"; Cambridge CAE and CPE grade "C". WSB-NLU advises that candidates should undertake the English Competency test at their local British Council as the Test is a good measure of language competency, needed to determine eligibility for the M&M in English programme.

Programme: >>Download a list of subjects (requires Adobe Reader)>>. Students complete modules in 6 major areas: Management, Marketing, Economics, Mathematics&Statistics, IT, Finance&Accountacy, and undertake a selection of General Knowledge modules.

The Polish education system still maintains a comprehensive 5-year programme, where students do NOT receive the Polish BA diploma (and do not have to write an undergraduate thesis), but proceed straight to the Masters stage. Due to the cooperation with NLU, WSB-NLU students WILL receive the American BA after 3 years (NLU criteria are fulfilled by end of year 3).

After completing year 3, students automatically proceed to the post-graduate stage and study for a further 1.5-2 years, at the end of which they receive the Polish Magister degree. At this stage they can choose their post-graduate specialisation (for example: Financial Management), and study 8 specialisation-specific subjects alongside several core modules. During their 5th year, the students must write a thesis, whose topic is in accordance with the chosen specialisation.

The programme is a result of combining Polish Ministry of Education requirements (completion of which grants the Polish diploma) and the course requirements from National-Louis University (completion of which grants the American diploma).

Students HAVE the option to DE-register from the 5-year programme and complete only the undergraduate stage with the American BA and Polish Licencjat diplomas. De-registering requires notifying WSB-NLU in the summer semester of year 2, so that the student can choose his thesis topic to undertake during year 3 (a thesis MUST be written at the point of completing/exiting a learning stage, as the Polish Ministry of Education requires a thesis to award the/any Polish degree).

Documents necessary for admission:

b) A secondary school leaving exam certificate (an original or a copy issued by the school). In case of seniors graduating from foreign high schools, an original of the certificate/diploma with an official recognition of a High School diploma by the regional Board of Education in the candidate’s country of residence is required (an official document stating that "this high school diploma permits the candidate entry into higher education").
c) A letter of recommendation in English from the school's headmaster, a group counselor or a teacher selected by an applicant with the school’s official stamp.
d) Documentation of satisfactory English language proficiency.
e) A photocopy of the candidate's ID (passport).
f) A nonrefundable application fee of 150USD: payable by banker's draft or by transfer to account:
