"Validation" is a collaborative academic process, where one degree-awarding institution (in this case a UK university), verifies that a second institution's infrastructure, programme, systems and staff are of appropriate level to offer a programme of studies leading to the UK university's degree. The partner is required to adopt all UK requirements and systems.
Such cooperation is desirable for:
- UK private colleges not having their own academic degrees;
- international higher education institutions lacking their own degree-awarding rights; - international institutions seeking additional degrees;
- institutions seeking to enhance their competitive standing by adding a UK qualification.
Our consultancy offer covers: - identification of programme needs of applicant institution;
- finding an appropriate UK university partner; - integrating UK-specific requirements (quality assurance, assessment, etc);
- development of degree documentation;
- management of the validation process;
- development of processes, units and documentation, necessary for operation of a UK degree; - (optional) continued support post-validation, to assure fulfilment of UK-partner's requirements.
Additionally, we offer extensive management consulting to institutions in their foundation phase or early start-ups, needing:
- creation of organisational structures;
- development of processes and procedures (academic, administrative, research); - development of academic documentation; - development of quality assurance systems; - performance-oriented strategic management.
For an informal discussion about cooperation, please contact Mr. Michael Reed
